Use of the app
The “Recunia” app makes an image analysis at one second intervals and decides whether or not it is a known swiss banknote. The recognition works most efficiently in portrait format. To do so, the banknote should ideally be held at a distance of around 15 centimetres from the lens of your mobile device. The app recognises both the front and the rear of the banknote.

Exclusion of liability
The “Recunia” app is intended exclusively for private use by the end user.
The user may not rely on this app exclusively for the purpose of recognition.
The “Recunia” app does not provide any indication whatsoever as to whether the banknote in question is genuine.
The recognised denomination is read out. You should therefore use this app with care and safeguard your privacy. The app endeavours to identify the banknote automatically, thus errors may occur.
Insofar as permissible by law, the SBV accepts no liability to make good any losses associated with the use of the “Recunia” app. Moreover, the SBV is not liable either for the completeness and accuracy of the information entered nor an incorrect value identification and the recognition of the authenticity of a banknote.
Its sole purpose is to give blind and visually-impaired people an indication of the possible value.
